Google emailing warnings to webmasters that http pages with forms marked as ‘not secure’

Pretty much every web site has a contact form of some kind. Very rarely do we build any web sites that doesn’t have some email contact form.

Google said on August 18th 2017 that, “Beginning in October 2017, Chrome will show the ‘Not secure’ warning in two additional situations: when users enter data on an HTTP page, and on all HTTP pages visited in Incognito mode.”

We’ve been slowly rolling out SSL certficates on all of our web sites since a while ago they announced that Google uses HTTPS as a ranking signal

With all of the security risks out there, SSL has been a no brainer and comes free of charge with all of our hosting packages.
