Feature of the Week – Krewes For Karnival’s

This week we want to feature Krewes for Karnival’s

MARDI GRAS!

“Carnival has been a part of New Orleans tradition since it was founded by the French centuries ago. It draws thousands of tourists to our city and generates millions of dollars in revenue – all in the name of fun.

There are currently 34 Carnival Krewes parading in Orleans Parish over a short two-week period. During these 12 days the men and women of the New Orleans Police Department, the New Orleans Fire Department and the New Orleans Emergency Medical Service work many hours of overtime away from their families in order to protect everyone along the parade route.

Krewes for Karnival’s First Responders was formed to give back to New Orleans’ First Responders for all that they do for the Krewes and the public during the Carnival season.”

Krewes for Karnival’s will be having an event on Thursday, October 17, 2019, at “7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. at Generations Hall, 310 Andrew Higgins Street.

Please join in showing appreciation for the NOPD, NOFD, and EMS by becoming a sponsor, donating to the silent or live auction and attending the event.

Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 the day of the event.

Police, Fire and EMS personnel in uniform are admitted free!”
