Lots of people have already registered a domain name with Godaddy and need assistance transferring it to point2point. Here is a step by step walk through on how to get it taken care of.
Please note: When you transfer a domain name you add a additional year of registration to the existing registration. You are basically paying for a year in advance. For example, if your domain was registered on the 6th of June 2011 and you transferred it on the 9th of June 2011, it would then be registered till June 9th 2012.
Step 1, login to your godaddy account at http://www.godaddy.com
Step 2: select your domain name you’d like to transfer to point2point
Step 3: Click the More Settings button
Step 3: All domains are locked by default, it must be unlocked before transferring. Click Locking.
Step 4: Unlock the domain
Step 5: Under Authorization code click Send By Email. This will send the code you will need to provide to point2point when you transfer the domain. Step 7: Go to http://www.point2pointdomains.com/, enter in your domain name and start the process. It takes about 24-48 hours for a domain to successfully transfer.
